Almost Normal Comics
a small review by oceania

I don't remember how I fell across Wee.. or even if he fell over me..
Before I knew it I had in my possession 2 simply made, gruesome "underground-like" comic. My heart skipped a beat as I locked myself away in my cubby and opened the plain brown envelop.

About:

Almost Normal Comics is an independent, small press publisher dedicated to printing and publishing whatever seems like a good story! That means anything goes. And does, at least in the two issues I saw. Gruesome, horrid tales, sex laced... they thrill and make one pause and wonder.. perhaps even smile.

The Tale Teller's - Grave Digger

The Tale Teller's Gravedigger.
As you open the front page you are confronted with a quote.. "Dankness dwells in the hearts of All Men" and you know this is not your everyday romp in the grave yard comic. In narrative fashion the Tale Teller brings us the story of Samuel Gray the Gravedigger. Unlike television horror shows, there is no happy endings. This is a Samuel story. In very graphic detail the pages detail how this grave digger fucks and abuses the dead. Ah but there is justice of sorts, for very soon he is one of them, sent to the bowels of the earth... where he is offered, to his horror a place of honor in Hell. Continue the journey that only the Tale Teller can tell in this Almost Normal Comics edition of the Grave Digger.

The Tale Teller's Hammer of Witches

The Tale of the Hammer Witches is based on real events. Why don't you tell me again how you would like to have lived back then <hee hee>. Hammer of Witches I as torturous tale of barbaric deeds done to the fair women of a German village in the year 1498. Very little is known about the inquisitor and his band of deformed servants.. except this...in the name of God and in the honorable position of ridding the land of witches, they were able, in one weeks time, the tortured to death twenty seven young women.

about the author/illustrator: I was made part of this world one April afternoon several years ago in a small central Virginia town. Early in my life I was introduced to death by chance and have ever since walked in its shadow. I have supported myself as an artist and a soldier. I’ve had the pleasure of living throughout much of the U.S. and Europe. I’ve also had the unfortunate pleasure of witnessing man’s hatred and cruelty. I’ve watched life spring forth with an infant’s first gasp, and I’ve watched death claim the most wretched with a scream. Presently I’ve removed myself somewhat from society and taken up residence in the secluded desert of Arizona. Here I intend to remain. ===== There's something almost normal at... http://members.tripod.com/almostnormalcomics/
