Your Punishment
by Vallone
Fairy tale stories of blood covered
sheets
Trickled from long thin vertical cut made to pale slender
wrists
My payment made in full to you
Would you understand
The guilt I wish you to feel?
Would you understand the pain the I want you to carry?
I expect not
But yet you ask my blessing
Want my unconditional belief in your lies
Want the death of my soul
The disrespect you show is unnerving...
Yes, Respect such a small little word
All I ever thought I needed to survive
Shattered by the stupidity of self centered man
Full of such Pithy thoughts
So why I do cry
What is there to cry for?
Death brings sleep
The end of pain
The end of caring
A welcome relief from my heart ache
And I pray the beginning of yours!
