Life Without
You Is Hell
by Kara Rimmer
Where’d you go?
Why’d you go?
I miss you like a burning, blazing fire
Misses the oxygen it needs to thrive…
I’d Masticate,
Swallow,
And digest
Hot embers from hell
If I thought it’d bring you back.
For it were you,
My Mother,
My Best Friend,
That took the first “L”
From the word “H-E-L-L”,
And turned it to and “A”.
If I had to stare at you,
Blindly,
Through a tiny window
From the fiery depths of Hades,
With flame scorching my feet,
As I watched you—
Flirting with butterflies,
And glowing with wings of gold,
I’d be eternally satisfied.
I’d rather lick
The steaming, gleaming, fork
Of Satan’s very staff,
(And fear it not…)
Than live another day without you.
Life without you IS hell.
